Terms and Conditions:

  • ALL fees are agreeable and payable as per the period and amount determined at the time of enrolment. Full term payments, must be paid in advance, e.g. an athlete’s term fee must be paid before the term’s training begins. Late fees may apply, where not paid by the specified due date.

  •  All Spirit Cheer and Dance fees are non refundable: Including competition and registration fees as these payments have already been made to competition providers and other contractors.

    Spirit Cheer and Dance are not responsible for any refunds or reimbursements on term payments for classes or uniform fees in the event of injury, sickness, dismissal, cancelled classes, non-attendance of classes or discontinuation of a team.

  • Absences must be communicated to Spirit Cheer and Dance staff with as much notice as possible.

  •   ALL athletes must wear Spirit Cheer and Dance training apparel to classes and be well groomed (hair tied back and neat), with no jewellery and gel/acrylic extension nails. Athletes must wear the correct footwear/shoes. (cheer shoes or a type of sport shoe)

  •   No responsibility will be taken for lost or stolen items at the premises in which we train at. Please do not bring any unnecessary valuables into the gym.

  • Athletes must be ready to enter their classes on time. Arriving NO EARLIER OR LATER THAN 10mins before the scheduled class. Arrival in excess of 10mins will refer to the below.

  • Due care will be taken with all athletes; however, Spirit Cheer and Dance takes no responsibility for athletes whilst they are not in class or under direct coach supervision at competitions and performances. If your child has breaks between classes, or at competitions, it is the parent’s responsibility to supervise their child. Any break that exceeds 1hour requires compulsory parent supervision, unless the child is 18 years old.

  • Siblings of athletes who are not attending classes are not to be left unattended at any time for any reason.

  • ALL athletes are to be picked up promptly upon the completion of their class, especially for those attending the last class of each day.

  •   Photographs and videos will be taken of athletes during classes and at competitions and performances. This material may be used for coaching purposes, marketing, promotion and advertising. Unless discussed otherwise with gym owner.

  • ALL competitive athletes are not to take holidays during terms. Please ensure any trips or vacations do not clash with classes or competitions.

  • ALL athletes, including their family and friends will always show good sportsmanship.

  • Spirit Cheer and Dance reserves the right to hold additional training, particularly prior to competitions and performances. Any additional classes or training will be advised with as much notice as possible, and will be deemed compulsory for those applicable athletes.

  • Spirit Cheer and Dance reserves the right to alter prices for both fees and apparel as necessary. This will be avoided where possible, generally upon the commencement of a term and through written notice.

  • Spirit Cheer and Dance reserves the right to remove or dismiss an athlete from a team for breaches of the rules and expected code of conduct. This also applies to parents and guardians.

  • Spirit Cheer and Dance reserves the right to position your child in the best interests of your child, others and the team. This applies to team placement, team roles, stage positioning, choreography, and all coaching, training and creative aspects of all classes, programs and teams.

  •   Parents and guardians are kindly asked not to enter the gym area as this distracts the athletes and disrupts classes. If a parent or guardian need to talk to the coach or director, we ask that they kindly wait until the completion of the class to do so. Or email us at spiritcheeranddancetas@gmail.com

  • Spirit Cheer and Dance reserves the right to change, alter, add or amend the rules at any time. Notice of any changes will be made with as much notice as possible and in writing.

 

Competitive Athletes (both Cheerleading & Dance)

 

  • ALL competitive cheerleading athletes MUST attend all scheduled competitive classes for their level and age division.

  • ALL competitive dance athletes MUST attend all scheduled competitive classes for their level and age division.

  • ALL competitive athletes must try to maintain an 100% attendance record over the course of a term.

  • ALL competitive athletes MUST NOT be absent within two weeks of a competition or performance. No exceptions.

  • It is COMPULSORY for ALL competitive athletes to attend ALL competitions and performances. This may include travel, be it locally and/or interstate. DO NOT PLAN VACATIONS OR OTHER COMMITMENTS ON COMPETITION OR EVENT DAYS, NOR THE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO ANY COMPETITION OR EVENT.

  •   Any and all competitions, their location, times, etc. will be communicated with as much notice as possible in writing.

  • ALL additional costs associated with competitions and performances, including uniforms, costumes, entry fees, travel and accommodation, and other related expenses are the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Payment notices and deadlines will be issued as required for additional costs. 

Athlete Code of Conduct 

  • Athletes are expected to work to the best of their ability in all classes and be dedicated to their team and team mates.

  •   Athletes must be respectful and courteous to all fellow athletes, parents and Spirit Cheer and Dance Coaching staff. Gossiping about, or bullying, any other teams, a child or another team, coaches, parents and staff will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. This includes any negative behaviour over the internet and social media.

  • Athletes are expected to only represent themselves and Spirit Cheer in a positive light. This is relevant in person, as well as on social media. Athletes will not comment or post any written or multimedia (photos/videos) item on the internet that may be considered offensive, negative or inappropriate.

  • Athletes will demonstrate good sportsmanship in all classes, and at all competitions, performances or other events.

  • It is expected that training, especially for competitive athletes, takes priority over all other social occasions and activities. Accommodations will be made where possible, and where advanced noticed it provided in writing.

  • Athletes are expected to wear their uniform with pride and present themselves in a manner which is a positive representation of themselves and Spirit Cheer and Dance.

  • Athletes will always abide by all rules and code of conduct.

  • Athletes are expected to be on time for all classes, training, competitions and performances.

 

Parent Code of Conduct 

  • Parents must be respectful and courteous to all athletes, parents and Spirit Cheer and Dance Coaching staff.   •   Parents will always abide by all rules and code of conduct.

  • Parents are expected to be facilitate their child in being on time for all classes, training, competitions and performances.

  • Parents are not to interfere with classes, training, coaching, or any aspect that relates to the activities conducted at Spirit Cheer and Dance.

  • Parents are expected to use the appropriate channels to express any concerns, issues or opinions. If there is a problem, please contact the Spirit Cheer and Dance owner directly, do not approach or address the problem with the third party directly (e.g.: parent, someone else’s child, competition official, etc.).
